Mid Valley Concrete Pumping’s Construction Safety Program is committed to performing work activities safely while complying with applicable environmental, health, and safety standards.
This commitment begins at the top with the owners and Board and is communicated to our stakeholders through our Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Policy and program.
Our HSE goals are to:
- Track and reduce environmental releases at all operations.
- Run an effective employee HSE training program.
Our HSE management system is documented and includes annual HSE goals and metrics, detailed action plans with specified accountabilities, and frequent communications of expectations and progress.
Written compliance programs are included as part of our HSE documentation and employees are trained on these requirements. Hazard assessments are performed and corrections implemented by our staff. Formal Job Safety Analysis or JSAs are performed and documented and are part of our frontline supervisors responsibilities.
Construction Safety Program
We participate in online contractor compliance programs. These programs require detailed information on the company injury and compliance history and of the HSE management systems.
Training
We have qualified trainers of programs (Basic and Core), considered the “gold standard” for safety orientation in our industry. The Basic Safety Orientation awareness training course was designed to address basic orientation training, to give each student a comprehensive view of industry safety and environmental issues. The provides a basic understanding of general safety that an employee should know before entering a company facility and while performing their assigned work duties. Training is typically performed initially and annually.
